Heenatigala Walawwa is located in Thalpe, on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, just a short distance from Unawatuna and Galle Fort.
How many types of rooms do you have?

We offer 4 rooms. Two rooms that face the front gardens with an option for an extra bed, and two rooms that face the back gardens with the pool.
How many guests can stay in the property?

Heenatigala Walawwa has four rooms and can accommodate up to 10 guests in total.
What is your food like?

We offer breakfast, a la carte two-course lunch and dinner, and unique garden dining experiences. You are also welcome to bring your own spirits and wine.
Can I book the whole property?

Yes, the entire villa can be booked exclusively for your party. It accommodates up to 10 guests and has a minimum stay of two nights.
Is the property suitable for families?

Yes, Heenatigala Walawwa is an ideal retreat for families and groups of friends, with four rooms that can accommodate up to 10 guests in total.
Is the property suitable for couples?

Yes, Heenatigala Walawwa is also perfectly suited for couples and honeymooners seeking a tranquil and intimate retreat with a blend of heritage and coastal charm.
Is the property suitable for children?

Yes, the property is suitable for children. Those under 5 years stay free, while children aged 5 to 11 are charged at 50% of the adult price.
Is the villa fully private?

The villa is fully private when you book the entire property for exclusive use. Otherwise, the four rooms are booked individually.
Do you provide drivers accommodation?

We do not provide accommodation for drivers. However, we are happy to assist in finding suitable arrangements for your driver nearby prior to your arrival. The driver can pay. Costs around Rs. 4 – 5,000 with meals per night.
How can I hire a taxi or tuk-tuk during my stay?
Taxis and tuk-tuks are commonly available in major towns and at the airport. You can hire roadside tuk-tuks or private vans easily in areas like Colombo, Kandy, and Galle.

    Both accept cash or credit card, though many drivers prefer cash and may decline a booking if you don’t specify that you’re paying with cash.
- Note: Outside of Colombo, Kandy, and Galle, taxis and ride-hailing services may not always be readily available. We recommend planning ahead or checking with your host for assistance.
What is the minimum stay?

There is a minimum two-night stay during the Low, Shoulder, and High seasons. A minimum three-night stay is required for all bookings during Peak season.
What is the cancellation policy?

The cancellation policy varies by season and booking type. For individual bookings, a 100% charge applies for cancellations within 30 days of arrival (90 days for peak season).
How close is the property to the beach?

Heenatigala Walawwa is a 7-minute complimentary tuk-tuk ride from a famous beach club, where guests receive free reserved chairs and a welcome drink plus 10% on F&B.
Can we bring our own beverages?

Yes, guests are welcome to bring their own spirits and wine to Heenatigala Walawwa to enjoy, particularly at our garden dining events.
