Idal Villa is located in Idalgashinna. A 45 mins walk from Idalgashinna railway station and 25 minutes drive from Haputale railway station
How many types of rooms do you have?

We have a total of 5 rooms, 1 triple suite and 2 doubles in the main building and 2 double cottage rooms with its own dining and living area behind the main building.
How many guests can stay in the property?

The main building in the villa with the triple suite and 2 double rooms can accommodate 7 guests and the 2 cottage rooms behind the main villa with its dining area and lounge can accommodate 4. Altogether 11 guests can stay comfortably in the property.
What is your food like?

Your stay includes fresh, homemade meals using locally sourced ingredients. Expect Sri Lankan village dishes, seasonal vegetables, and hearty breakfasts. We can accommodate most dietary requirements.
Can I book the whole property?

Yes, we offer exclusive buy-out options for the entire property including the main villa and cottage, providing you with full privacy for your group or family. The main building and cottage can be booked separately too. Contact us for more details

Is the property suitable for children?

Absolutely. Idal Villa welcomes Children. They can enjoy the garden, lounge areas, and the train and village house experience.
Is the villa fully private?

Yes, we offer exclusive buy-out options for the main building with 3 rooms which can accommodate 7 guests or the cottage which can accommodate 4 guests separately. The main Villa and the cottage is also offered as exclusive buyout, providing you with full privacy for your group or family. Contact us for more details
Do you provide drivers accommodation?

We do not provide accommodation for drivers. However, we are happy to assist in finding suitable arrangements for your driver nearby prior to your arrival. the driver can pay. Costs around Rs. 4 – 5,000 with meals per night.
Do you offer guided hikes?

Yes, guided hikes can be arranged on request. Discover hidden trails, tea plantations, and panoramic viewpoints with a guided tour of the region’s best-kept secrets.
Is there a sauna?

Yes, our wood sauna is available for guest use. It’s perfect after a cool hill-country walk or hike. Please let us know in advance so we can prepare it.
Can I book a massage?

Yes, we can arrange professional Sports massages upon request. We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance so we can schedule the therapist.
Are meals served outdoors?

Yes, weather permitting, meals are served under the trees or beside the fire. Outdoor dining is a signature Idal experience. You can also choose indoor dining.
