1) DMC Sales Executive / Assistant Manager

Secrets of Ceylon is an inhouse marketing and sales team to some leading hospitality experiences. We have 12 boutique hotels & experiences to promote. 


The role : 

The role is straight forward - you need to build partnerships with a handful of DMC's and deliver business through them. We will agree a list of DMC's, provide you the training, and set you free. You must a. research in to their potential ( we want a mix of markets),  b. build relationships and understand how they work, c.  train them, d. build relationships focusing on those that give us more,  e. find ways to increase our share of their business.  

To do this you will a. call, e-mail and whatsapp them,  b. organise training online and in person, c. visit them, d. organise fam trips, events and attend trade fairs

You will work closely with the Managing Director and Head of Reservations and DMC Sales  

You  will be incentivised through commissions - you earn a % of the revenue you bring in from those DMC's.

There is a high level of reporting and data management required.


Must Have :

a) Great spoken English, confidence and outgoing in nature

b) Confidence to make cold calls, to walk up and start a conversation

c) Energy and drive  to visit 5 DMC's a day * 4 days a week

e) Ability to adapt to changing needs

f) Ability to take notes and write reports on each meeting

g) Able to use Microsoft Suite plus M&S Teams 


Advantageous : 

a) Existing contacts / Experience working with DMC's 

b) Sales experience

c)  Previous experience in hospitality sales

d) Ability to stand up and present to a group of people in person


Renumeration : 

We are open to working with a trainee,  but preference will be to employ an Executive or Assistant Manager with experience.

OTE (opportunity to earn) - We expect you to earn Rs. 25,000 to 100,000 a month on top of a fixed salary 


This is a Full Time Role.


Location : 

This is a  Colombo based role. You can work from home one day a week, and the other 4 days you will be expected to have your own transport to Colombo.  Travel between meetings will be covered.

2)Administrative Assistant

Secrets of Ceylon is an inhouse marketing and sales team to some leading hospitality experiences. We have 12 boutique hotels & experiences to promote. 


The role : 

To assist the team to stay organised and manage key processes and activities


Key Role 

OTA - manage the accounts, and update relevant reservation system 

Reservations - support the reservations team

Data Base - manage our data base of DMC's, Agents & Customers

Monthly Report - help collate the report

Invoicing - use the data to compile commissions earned and invoice our clients

There is a high level of reporting and data management required.


Secondary Role

Book Keeping - this is a data entry role where you enter expenses and revenue into a sheet. You may be required to manage some elements the online banking as well. 

Social Media - support the social media team 



Must Have :

a) Good understanding of Excel and creating formulas

b) Attention to detail

d) A love for numbers

e) Organised 

f) Ability to adapt to changing needs

g) Ability to take notes and follow up 

h) Able to use Microsoft Suite plus M&S Teams 


Advantageous (if not, still apply as we can train you): 

a) Experience with OTA's like Booking.com)

b) Experience using any hotel software solution . Don't worry, full training to be provided on TravCal.com, Ezee, STAAH or Cloud Beds as required.

This is a Full Time Role

3) Content Marketing Intern / Trainee / Executive or Free Lancer

Secrets of Ceylon is an inhouse marketing and sales team to some leading hospitality experiences. We have 12 boutique hotels & experiences to promote. 


The role : 

To drive the content generation across 7-10 of our brands


Key Role 

Write & schedule our social media posts

Write itinerary descriptions for each property for our DMC / Tour Operator partners to use

Write SEO content 

Create content for 3rd parties media


Must Have :

a) Good writing style for Social Media & digital channels

b) Attention to detail

d) A love for writing

e) Organised 

f) Ability to adapt to changing needs

g) Ability to take notes and follow up 

h) Able to use Microsoft Suite plus M&S Teams  (can be taught)


Renumeration : 

We are open to working with a trainee,  but preference will be to employ an Executive or Assistant with experience. We are also happy to engage a free lancer 


This is a Full Time or Part Time Role


Location : 

This is a  work from home role, but if you prefer, we can find an office for you to work from.

4) Management Trainee

Secrets of Ceylon is an inhouse marketing and sales team to some leading hospitality experiences. We have 12 boutique hotels & experiences to promote. 


The role : 

To learn the ropes with a plan to get a senior role in a short space of time. You can choose your specialism, but initially you will be involved in all aspects.


Key Role 

OTA Administration - Manage our OTA (online travel agencies like Booking.com)

Respond to queries by e-mail, whatsapp and phone

Business Development  - help search and evaluate new opportunities

Handle adoc projects & events


Must Have :

a) Good writing style for Social Media & digital channels

b) Able to speak and present yourself well

b) Attention to detail

d)  Organised 

f) Ability to adapt to changing needs

g) Ability to take notes and follow up 

h) Ability to use Microsoft Suite plus M&S Teams  (can be taught)


Renumeration : 

We are open to paying a fair wage whilst you learn and are trained 


This is a Full Time and need a commitment of at least 10 months


Location : 

This is a  work from home role, but if you prefer, we can find an office for you to work from.
